Membership of BASO ~ THE ASSOCIATION FOR CANCER SURGERY
There are five categories of membership: Full Members are: Professors, Senior Lecturers, Consultants, Associate Specialists, Staff Grades and Breast Physicians. Associate Members are: Specialist Registrars, Clinical Assistants and Senior House Officers. Affiliate Members are: Clinical Nurse Specialists, Specialist Breast Nurses, Researchers and Allied Health Professionals. Overseas Member Professionals working in surgical oncology outside the UK. Members from the Republic of Ireland can choose to join as Full, Associate or Affiliate members or as an Overseas member. Senior Retired Professionals, who have retired from practice. The subscription year runs from the 1st July, but new members can join at any stage during the year. To join please download the membership form and return it to the BASO ~ ACS office along with your CV, the completed Direct Debit form and a cheque for your first year's subscription. Please note the membership of BASO ~ ACS is administered by the Association of Breast Surgery, so direct debits and cheques are payable to the ABS. Members of BASO ~ The Association for Cancer Surgery can join the Association of Breast Surgery by paying an additional membership fee of £20. If you wish to join both Associations please tick the relevant box on the membership form.
